Описание интерфейса Edit и протокола Control-M

This information is gleaned from several sources. One is a photocopy of a fax of a magazine article in German from 1993. Another is a copy of the product information for the Panasonic AG-1960 5-pin protocol.
I have (not real clear) tiff copies of these pages available if you want me to email them to you. If anybody cares to scan the TIFF files in and convert them to text I'd love to have a copy. Text much smaller files.

  The TIFF files are:

  • CTL_MTXT.TIF - a faxed copy of the email from which much of this text is typed.
  • CTL_M_G1.TIF - a faxed copy of a page from a German Magazine.
  • CTL_M_G2.TIF - a faxed copy of another page from the same article.
  • AG1960.ZIP - pages 1 through 11 of a Panasonic product information bulletin on the AG-1960 5 Pin Protocol. The original photocopies were faxed to my PC and converted to Huffman compressed TIFF files.

The information has been typed in quickly. Please don't flame me for any errors, just let me know so I can correct future versions.

Panasonic 5 pin edit control

Remote Control Jack (2.5 mm)

Tip - negative-going TTL pulse synchronous to vertical frame at 100 Hz (PAL) or 120 Hz (NTSC)
Ring - +5 on record, frame frequency (25/30Hz at playback)

5 pin Edit jack (11 pin jack is a superset of this)

Synchronous serial transmission clocked by the VTR 1 bit=27 microseconds.

Bits should be sampled at the rising edge of the clock, VTR does this.
